A Post Juneteenth Celebration

Saturday, June 25   2:00pm at the Cultural Center at the Opera House

June 19th is Juneteenth, a federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. Also known as National Independence Day, Jubilee Day, Emancipation Day, and Freedom Day, Juneteenth is a celebration of African-American freedom, education, culture, and achievement that invites all members of the community to participate.

Join us for this FREE Post-Juneteenth Celebration, featuring our very special guest, Janice Curtis Greene ("Janice the Griot"), who will share moving and inspiring freedom stories.

Other special guests include Sharoll Williams-Love, Hosanna School Museum; Nia Webb, First Place Winner, 2022 Langston Hughes Youth Oratorical Contest; Natasha Jackson, sharing her musical gifts; and Felicia Grant-Hopkins, Harford County Health Department.

Tickets are free, but registration is required.
