My work is typically characterized as Abstract Expressionism. My pieces are known for their vivid color palettes and they often shout at you from the walls. Other characteristics of my paintings are dimensionality, multiple levels, textures, mixed media, and metallic colors. My focus is on the movement of life, shapes, time, patterns, flow, feelings, imagination, and basic mental processes. With a Master’s degree in Psychology, I incorporate aspects of human behavior in my paintings and I love the Rorschach-type interpretations assigned to my paintings my viewers. I am a firm believer that the artistic experience should be multi-sensory and build both visual and tactile sensations into my paintings. I want to encourage the viewer to reach-out and touch my paintings to complete the artistic and sensory cycle.
