Bill Rothenbach has been a resident of Harford County for over 30:years and a corporate executive for almost 45 years. He discovered his passion for painting late in life. Bill is entirely self-taught and his work has been described as modern, abstract and hard edge and his artistic influences are Pollock, Kandinsky, Rothko and Neiman. He works mainly with acrylics, wood and mixed media and his subject matter focus is on emotions, metallic colors, actions, shapes, layers, textures and their interactions.. The greatest compliment a viewer can give one of Bill’s paintings is to reach-out and touch it. His pieces have won awards in juried art competitions and nearly 40 of them have been purchased in the brief time he has been painting.
