I have been a costumer for over 20 years. My work with fabric for theatre costumes lead me to experimenting with the use of mixed media in my weaving. I use wool, silk and cotton yarns and fabrics for the base of my weaving. Then I embellish with lace, beads, buttons, shells, natural elements and jewelry. Some of my weavings have a theme or scene, but usually they are free-form. I have created some weavings by commission, which are more specific.
