THE ELUSIVE NATURE OF BEAUTY

A sunset, a rose in full bloom, or a child taking their first steps. These are just a few images of great beauty. They are forever etched in our minds and dear in our hearts. Nothing can separate us from their enduring qualities. They are moments in time, captured forever by the camera of our consciousness. They are elusive, yet we are able to recall them at a moments notice. When our spirits are weary and worn from the vast, sometimes menacing world, they provide an escape, a window into another dimension. We recall them, ponder their magical qualities, and yes, we love them.
Visual artists are truly blessed by divine providence. It is the work of their hands, with a few meager tools, that enlighten and inspire. Indeed they have great power and with it, a great and sacred obligation. Through their talents and efforts, they have the opportunity to offer the world a new and vibrant hope.
